The famous ocean liner which was marred in the single largest maritime disaster. The R.M.S. Titanic was built at the Harland & Wolff shipyards of Belfast, Ireland. At the time she was a modern maritime miracle, known for her advances in luxury and engineering. Titanic launched on May 31, 1911. On her maiden (First) voyage in April of 1912, she struck an iceberg and sank in the North Atlantic, over 1500 people perished that tragic night. The Titanic has now been immortalized thru Hollywood, including one of the largest grossing films of all time.
